Thought for the day
"One good thing about being a Muslim woman is you never have to worry about having a bad hair day!" -- Claire Rivero
"And what sort of lives do these people, who pose as being moral, lead themselves? My dear fellow, you forget that we are in the native land of the hypocrite." -- Oscar Wilde

The BP Toledo refinery was “safely shut down” in response to Tuesday night’s fire where two employees died.
Four days later, when the fire was officially out, the U.S. Navy faced the sickening loss of a $1.2 billion-dollar warship, not to war, or even at sea. But to a wholly preventable fire while moored in a stateside port. For the Navy, whose reputation as the world’s finest had been battered by recent collisions at sea and allegations of shoddy equipment and training, the loss of the Bonhomme Richard was an embarrassing — and painfully public — blow.
The service immediately launched two parallel investigations into what went wrong and why.
The command investigation, led by a three-star admiral, sent a team of investigators on a prodigious and methodical examination of the fire. As the months passed, the investigators uncovered in exhaustive detail an astonishing array of failures — broken or missing fire hoses, poorly trained sailors, improperly stored hazardous material — that had primed the ship for a calamitous fire.
A separate investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, for its part, focused on whether anyone was criminally responsible. As the months passed, NCIS investigators appeared to operate in isolation, discounting the damning findings of the command investigation to pursue a case of arson, despite scant evidence.
Biden’s green energy policies (limiting supply) caused a tremendous surge in energy prices and food prices (one has to pay to get food shipped!). But in order for The Fed to cool inflation, they are in the process of tightening their loose monetary policy since late 2008.
One of the consequences (intended or unintended) is that as mortgage rose, homebuyer mortgage payments rose 45.5% YoY.
The Bombay High Court has issued a notice to tech giant and Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine promoter Bill Gates, along with others, after a petition was filed by the father of a woman who allegedly died after getting vaccinated.
The petitioner is Dilip Lunawat. He claims that his daughter Snehal, a doctor in Nashik, Maharashtra and a senior lecturer at the SMBT Dental College and Hospital, experienced severe side effects from the COVID-19 vaccine that she never recovered from. She died on March 1, 2021.
Lunawat noted that his daughter died around a month after first getting vaccinated with the Bill Gates-funded AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, distributed in India under the brand name Covidshield with the help of the Serum Institute of India (SII), a private biotechnology company. (Related: Beloved doctor in India succumbs to coronavirus despite being fully vaccinated.)
On September 13, Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelensky made a surprise trip to the city of Izyum in the Kharkov Region for a photo op following his military’s recapture of the town from Russian forces. During the visit, a soldier who appeared to be guarding Zelensky was photographed wearing a Nazi-inspired patch on his uniform.
When the image drew criticism on social media, the Ukrainian president’s official Telegram and Facebook accounts quietly deleted it.
In Izyum on September 14, Zelensky participated in a flag raising ceremony to the tune of the Ukrainian National Anthem and took selfies with local civilians and soldiers. While most of the men on the scene wore official military fatigues, it was not difficult to see which ones were for lack of a better term, working, and which ones were simply present to participate in the event.
A new ordinance in Chicago declares the Windy City a “sanctuary” for “bodily autonomy” and forbids government agencies and staff from helping other states enforce their abortion laws or laws against the genital and chemical mutilation of children.
The Chicago City Council approved on Wednesday the “Bodily Autonomy Sanctuary City Ordinance,” which prohibits any Chicago government agency or employee from “provid[ing] information related to, or in furtherance of, any investigation or proceeding initiated in or by another state or jurisdiction that seeks to impose civil or criminal liability or professional sanctions upon a person for the provision or receipt of, or any inquiry concerning, reproductive health care or gender-affirming care that is legal in the State of Illinois.”
Data from Zillow showed home values dropping in blue areas across the country.
The national average for a gallon of gasoline would drop, and the president’s staff would publicly celebrate the dip as more evidence that the decision to tap the strategic petroleum reserve was helping the everyday American. And while gas was not, and is still not, cheap, the downward streak was undeniable. It lasted 99 consecutive days.
President Donald Trump gave more insight on the raid of Mar-A-Lago during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday night.
A Tupelo detective said an armed robbery suspect walked up behind a compliant convenience store clerk Sunday morning and shot him in the back of the head," the Daily Journal reports.
"The clerk is very gracious and even gave him a stack of money he didn't ask for," detective Wes Kloac testified. "He opened the safe for him and gave him a bank bag."
After ordering the Chevron Food Mart clerk to the floor, "(The suspect) then walked up behind Mr. Singh and, at point blank range, executed him," Kloac added.
Webmaster addition: The video in the article is very graphic.
Hospitals across the country have created gender clinics to facilitate gender transition for both minors and adults. While many have been exposed, many more are operating the same kinds of clinics, giving children puberty blockers to stunt their natural development, and pushing harmful cross-sex hormones and surgeries on minors.
One of these is Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester, New York, which offers a promotional video for gender transition, featuring a mother who transitioned her child, as well as providers who claim that trans children know they are in the wrong body for "their whole lives."
The whole point of solar energy is to create clean energy in a cost-effective manner. Apparently, that is still not the case.
Failed Gubernatorial Candidate Stacey Abrams claimed that a fetal heartbeat at 6 weeks is a fabrication and just a “manufactured sound” in a newly released video.
The protests in Iran are on the verge of toppling the regime. The only thing that can stop the revolution now is another bloodbath like Nov. 2019, when 1500 protestors were killed and thousands more arrested, many of whom were tortured and executed. Now, the protestors are striking back, however.
The Iranian navy will take part in joint exercises with Russian and Chinese warships “this autumn,” Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri announced on Thursday in Tehran.
The chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces did not offer much in the way of details about the planned maneuvers, but said other countries such as Oman and Pakistan might participate as well.
Bagheri made the announcement on the sidelines of a military parade in Tehran marking Sacred Defense Week, according to the Mehr news agency.
“Exercises involving the navies of Iran, Russia and China will be held in the northern part of the Indian Ocean this autumn,” Mehr quoted Bagheri as saying.
The Center for Renewing America (CRA), a conservative policy group headed by former senior Donald Trump administration official Russ Vought, claims Mark Zuckerberg and his wife concealed the political nature of their donations ahead of the 2020 presidential election, “shuffling” them through “charitable” intermediaries.
Mark Zuckerberg, his wife, and three voting rights groups have had legal complaints filed against them, alleging misconduct related to activities surrounding the 2020 presidential election, Fox Business has reported.
Two complaints were filed with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) against the chief executive of Meta* Platforms, formerly known as Facebook*, and his wife, Priscilla Chan, by the Center for Renewing America (CRA) nonprofit organization.
The CRA, headed by senior ex-Trump administration official Russ Vought, also filed a complaint against the groups Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR), and National Vote at Home Institute (NVAHI), according to the outlet.
At the UN General Assembly in New York on Wednesday, President Biden focused most of his speech on Ukraine and accused Russia of violating the UN Charter by launching the war.
"Russia has shamelessly violated the core tenets of the United Nations Charter — no more important than the clear prohibition against countries taking the territory of their neighbor by force," he said.
Biden’s comments highlight US hypocrisy on the issue as Washington currently occupies a major portion of eastern Syria despite the Syrian government’s opposition. The US also supports Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and its blockade of Gaza, and Saudi Arabia’s war and blockade on its neighbor Yemen.
Biden said that the US will continue to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia based on the principle that "you cannot seize a nation’s territory by force."
What will stop The Fed?
Investors globally are wondering - after CPI sent the 'peak inflation' narrative to the bottom of the ocean and Powell's Jackson Hole speech (and this FOMC statement and press conference) crushed the 'Fed Pivot' narrative - what other potential indicators/signals (aside from a multi-month slowdown in inflation of course) could prompt Powell and his pals to back off their uber-hawkishness?
President Joe Biden's latest anti–free speech crusade would require groups that run political ads to dox donors. Biden is backing the Democracy Is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections (DISCLOSE) Act, which senators are expected to vote today on whether to take up.
"Right now, advocacy groups can run ads on issues attacking or supporting a candidate right until Election Day without exposing who's paying for that ad," Biden said on Tuesday. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D–N.Y.) called the DISCLOSE Act "critical to fighting the cancer of dark money in our elections."
But many see the measure as a way to interfere in free speech and intimidate people who would otherwise donate to advocacy groups.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce called it "blatantly political and ultimately unconstitutional legislation."
"The DISCLOSE Act's fundamental purpose is to enable cancel culture and the intimidation of Americans exercising their right to free speech through political giving and campaign contributions," writes Scott Parkinson of the Club for Growth.
CBS News, a far-left propaganda outlet that spreads lies and conspiracy theories, is deliberately deceiving its readers about the reported motive behind the hit-and-run murder of an 18-year-old North Dakota man.
In the immediate wake of His Fraudulency Joe Biden declaring 65 million Trump supporters threats to America, 41-year-old Shannon Brandt deliberately ran down teenager Cayler Ellingson over a “political argument,” according to police reports. Police add that on the 911 call, Brandt accused the teenager of being “part of a Republican extremist group and [Brandt claimed] that he was afraid they were ‘coming to get him.'”
According to Ellingson’s mother, her son called her that night and asked if she knew who Brandt was. She did. Ellingson’s mother says her son called back later and said “he” or “they” were chasing him. After that, she wasn’t able to reach her son.
What makes this story a story is the alleged political motive, is the police reporting that this young man was run down for no other sin than being a Republican.
Because CBS finds that information inconvenient to the false narrative that only Trump supporters are violent threats to democracy, CBS chose to deceive its readers by not revealing the reported motive, which, per the police, was stated by the alleged murderer.
Bill Gates said he believes the global community must invest in engineered crops using what he calls his “magic seeds” to solve world hunger.
What is needed, he said, are “magic” seeds that have been genetically engineered to be resistant to hot and dry climates or to grow three weeks faster than natural seeds.
“Temperature keeps going up,” Gates said. “There is no way, without innovation, to come even close to feeding Africa. I mean, it just doesn’t work.”
However, André Leu, organic farming expert, former president of IFOAM Organics International and author of “Growing Life: Regenerating Farming and Ranching,” criticized Gates for calling his genetically modified seeds “magical.”
Just when you thought the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) couldn’t possibly get any worse, they prove you wrong.
Here are two recent COVID-19 booster campaign messages tweeted out by the FDA:
“It’s time to install that update! #UpdateYourAntibodies with a new #COVID19 booster.”
“Don’t be shocked! You can now #RechargeYourImmunity with an updated #COVID19 booster.”
BBC News (United Kingdom) is on a crusade to stamp out all online references to covid “vaccines” that are negative – including those that use a carrot emoji to bypass social media censors.
BBC is responsible for the removal of a more than 100,000-member Facebook group that routinely showed posts referencing Fauci Flu shots with the carrot emoji since Facebook does not allow the jabs to be mentioned by name.
We are told that BBC flagged the group for review, prompting Facebook to pull it. Now, the group’s 100,000-plus members will have to find a new home to discuss injuries and deaths caused by Chinese Virus injections. (Related: Remember when Facebook was caught cosponsoring an event with Pfizer to celebrate communist China?)
Not only that group but several others were also axed by Facebook, though BBC is now complaining that those groups “have since re-appeared in our searches.”
To see what we mean by the use of the carrot emoji, read the following example, which is a post from one of the now-deleted Facebook groups:
Fed Chair Jerome Powell told reporters back in June that spiking mortgage rates would see the Pandemic Housing Boom fizzle out. In the eyes of Powell, that would be a good thing.
“I’d say if you are a homebuyer, somebody or a young person looking to buy a home, you need a bit of a reset. We need to get back to a place where supply and demand are back together and where inflation is down low again, and mortgage rates are low again,” Powell told reporters at the time.
In the months since, economists have openly questioned what Powell meant by a housing “reset.” Does the Fed simply want buyers to back off long enough to allow inventory to rise? Or does “reset” mean the Fed also wants home prices—which spiked 43% in just over two years—to come down?
If heavily armed intruders were trying to break through the door of your home, would you shoot them if they actually succeeded in getting inside? Most westerners do not realize this, but that is actually how the Russians view the conflict in Ukraine. They are entirely convinced that this is a life or death struggle with NATO, and almost nightly there is discussion about the possibility of nuclear war on television. The Russians are deeply scared, and they truly believe that the future of their nation hangs in the balance. In an existential fight for national survival, there are no limits. The Russians will do whatever is necessary to ensure the survival of Russia, even if that means causing a global cataclysm.
You may be reading this and thinking that all of this sounds quite silly to you.
But it doesn’t matter what you believe.
What matters is what the Russians believe.
When the Soviet Union broke up, NATO promised that they would not expand eastward and gobble up former Warsaw Pact countries.
But that is exactly what happened.
The Federal Reserve delivered its bluntest reckoning Wednesday of what it will take to finally tame painfully high inflation: Slower growth, higher unemployment and potentially a recession.
Speaking at a news conference, Chair Jerome Powell acknowledged what many economists have been saying for months: That the Fed’s goal of engineering a “soft landing” — in which it would manage to slow growth enough to curb inflation but not so much as to cause a recession — looks increasingly unlikely.
“The chances of a soft landing,” Powell said, “are likely to diminish” as the Fed steadily raises borrowing costs to slow the worst streak of inflation in four decades. “No one knows whether this process will lead to a recession or, if so, how significant that recession would be.”
Before the Fed’s policymakers would consider halting their rate hikes, he said, they would have to see continued slow growth, a “modest” increase in unemployment and “clear evidence” that inflation is moving back down to their 2% target.
This was after a far-left Texas Sheriff “>opened a criminal investigation into Governor DeSantis’s operation of sending illegal aliens shipped to Florida to Democrat strongholds and sanctuary communities like Martha’s Vineyard.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar does not have a problem with Joe Biden and border czar Kamala Harris flying millions of illegal aliens into the country’s interior every single night. He is only upset with the migrants DeSantis is sending to sanctuary communities.
Governor DeSantis pushed back against the garbage lawsuit against him later today.
